First Haircut!

Jack and I have been hanging out in Winona lately. John has been out of town for three weeks. (He comes home Friday.) I bet he won't recognize Jack, because he has gotten to be such a big boy. We have both been in need of a haircut. Yes, even Jack! I've been tucking his hair behind his ears and it had gotten long in the back. I knew when I found out I was having a boy, we would be getting his hair trimmed every few weeks. I'm not big on little boys with long hair. I like short, neat cuts. I guess I get that from my dad. So, today we went to see Miss Jennifer for new do's! (Jennifer is Maggie's mom!)

Jack loved the beauty shop and had a blast visiting with everyone. Below are a few pictures from our trip.

Jennifer brought out the electric clippers
to tidy up the ends and Jack wasn't crazy
about the buzzing sound so close to his ear.
This was near the end and once Jennifer
turned them off, Jack calmed down.

Overall, Jack did great! There were so many new things to see and we had a little trouble getting him to hold his head still. But Jennifer is great with kids and did a great job. Now Jack has a big boy haircut!

Cutest Thing Ever!!

Our friends Charlie and Stephanie Young have the CUTEST little girls you have ever seen, Isabel and Olivia. And, like Charlie and Stephanie, they have the best personalities. Best Friends...Now

Over the last few months, Jack and Curious George have had, let's say, a less than a cozy relationship. But there has been a change in the air recently and the two have become inseparable. George sits with us while Jack takes his bottle, he reads with us, goes to Wal-Mart with us. goes everywhere with us. He sleeps in the bed with Jack and we take him with us on our daily strolls.

George and the blue blanket (a.k.a. Softie). They are with us all of the time. The other day I was getting Jack out of the bed and right before he cleared the bed rail, he reached down for his blanket. He goes to sleep faster with one in each hand. He rubs George's head and he rubs Softie across his eyes. It's ADORABLE!!

I've always felt a little sad for Curious George, of all Jack's toys - he really took a beating. Thankfully they have become best buds.

Just a Swingin'

Happy Tuesday everyone. We hope all of you had as good of a day as this little fellow! He has had a great day - can't you tell?

He received a special surprise gift this morning... a swing for outside! And since we spent the entire day outside in the swing, I believe the surprise was a success!! He loves it. He even ran an hour or more late on all of his bottles today and never let on that he was hungry. As long as he kept swinging, he was fine. We have it hanging where he can sit in it and see the street and the cars as they pass by. Between this and his little swimming pool, you know where we will be spending our summer. He loves being outside.

way down in the seat and lean over to one side.
