Update!

I have received so many sweet emails since my last post!! Thank you so much. I have so many sweet, wonderful friends. John and I went to Jackson yesterday for my first check-up with Dr. Kerr since my surgery three weeks ago and I got a GREAT report!!! Every time I go for a check-up he will get x-rays of my neck. The ones they took yesterday gave me my first look at the area and it was amazing!! It's just mind blowing what they can do today and that I can have this type of surgery and feel so good, so quick.

He did lift a couple of restrictions. I can drive. Slowly and carefully. I will have to rely on my mirrors more since I can't turn my head very far. But I can drive!!! Although, I think it will be a while before I feel comfortable driving Jack around. I can start moving and exercising my head a little more. I can exercise as long as I don't pick up more than 5 pounds in each hand. And in 1 month and 3 days I can pick up Jack!!!! I may carry him around so much that the poor baby forgets how to walk!!

All in all it was a great appointment. He was going to have me come back in 3 weeks, but he said I was doing so well that we could stretch it out to 6!!!! He just warned me not to do too much to soon. In just the short time we have known Dr. Kerr he has gotten to know me well. He knows my personality and knows I operate in over drive. But I'm trying really hard not to do too much to soon. Thankfully I have John to reel me in when I start to get ahead of myself.
