Well, we thought it for a couple of days, but now it's official - Jack has his days and nights mixed up. He slept four hours last night, a.k.a - I slept four hours last night. He has slept nine hours straight today. Trying to get him to wake up to eat is almost impossible. If any of you have any advice as to how we can reverse this and get him on the right track, PLEASE leave your suggestions in the comments section of this post. I thank you and my husband thanks you!

When it was difficult to get Wells to wake up to eat, I would change his diaper, take all his clothes off (except the diaper) and hold him against my skin. Good luck. You will sleep again, I promise.
To be honest, he'll have his days and nights mixed up for a while. I have found, with my 3 at least, that things turned around at about 2 1/2 to 3 months old. After that, it was a little easier to get them on a "schedule." We were just bleary-eyed for a couple months.
Unswaddle him, take his clothes off when it's time to eat. That works pretty well.
Sleep when he sleeps. Hang in there. You'll sleep again!!
Jack will wake up more each week. By week five you can guide him more towards a schedule. Right now he is so little, just follow him, sleep when he sleeps and soon you will be on that routine that you want. Be patient! These weary days will pass quickly! I too, before feeding, would change my babies' diapers and talk to them while i fed them and try as best as i could to stimulate them so that they would stay awake long enough to take a couple of ounces.Sometimes they would fall asleep while trying to burp! You are doing great...keep it up!
