We are about at the end of the birthday posts. I saved the food and decorations for last. This year's party wasn't much different than his first birthday party. Last year we made and bought several things that we could use for years to come. We really didn't go with much of a theme. Jack is so into Toy Story and at the last minute, my mom found a few Toy Story items that matched the colors we were using ( a table cloth, plates, etc...). I know before long he will be able to tell me exactly what kind of party he wants, so for now we're just keeping it simple with personal touches. I really like it this way.
Pretzels, M&Ms, and Gold Fish. YUMMMM!
So this year I decided he should have them for
his party. I had these made and they were
delicious. But the very best part, were the cupcake toppers
my sister made to go on each cupcake. All 50 of them.
Some had a J on them, while others had a 2. I have been seeing
cute cupcake toppers being used on other blogs and once we
decided on cupcakes, I knew the toppers would send them
right over the top. And they did! So cute!! Thanks Cookie!!!!!
I love the banner and plan on using it every year.
I chose my color scheme for the party from the colors
in the banner. Brown, blue, red, green.
I already have a picture in it and it looks great hanging
with the picture from last year.
I'll take a picture and post it soon.
my sister made for me last year and Woody
greeted our guests and decorated the gift table.
My sister made all of the kids a
monogrammed water bottle. And we had
an assortment of candy canes for everyone.
Candy canes come in so many flavors now -
Jolly Rancher, Life Saver. I thought the candy canes
would be something that a lot of people haven't
had in a while and would really enjoy.
More pics of the decorations.

I think I told you last year that our church, in Grenada, will only let
us have a party in the afternoon, during Jack's nap time.
And we really like having it around 10:00 in the morning,
(when Jack is in a good mood)
so we had the party at my parent's church again this year.
It's also the church I grew up in. They family life center is great.
And I'm so thankful they allow us to have the party in
a place that means so much to us.
