That's right - Shots Fired! Four shots to be exact, one in the right leg, two in the left and one orally. We took Jack to see our favorite pediatrician, Dr. Ellison, yesterday. It was time for Jack's two month shots and check up. He weighed 12 pounds, 10 ounces and was 22 3/4" long! (50th percentile for height and 75th for weight.) I told you we had a chunky monkey. Dr. Ellison was very impressed with how alert and strong Jack seems to be. He said we have a healthy, strong, robust little boy.
Then came Nurse Allison with the shots. We love Allison as much as we love Dr. Ellison. She has a little girl who just turned 1 year old, so she is great with babies. Jack took his shots well. Allison was so quick, John didn't even see her give him the last one. Jack cried for about 4 or 5 minutes, then settled down. I started giving him Tylenol, every 4 hours, about 3:30 Friday morning and so far no fever or complications.
Below are a few "after" pictures. Now, let me explain some things. We are in the car, but the car is not moving. That's why he is not in his car seat. We are still in the doctor's parking lot. His appointment hit at meal time, so when it was over, we sat in the car and gave him a bottle. And no, he did not go to his appointment naked. He actually wore an adorable little blue and white outfit. He looked so cute! He wanted to look good for any little girls he might see in the waiting room and for Nurse Allison. However, Dr. Ellison's office was like an oven. We all felt like we were wearing a fur coat on the beach in July. It was awful! And he cried when he got his shots and that made him even hotter. Plus, I have to admit, Jack likes being naked! All naked, all the time! So when we got him in the car, we took everything off, but his diaper and that is how he rode home. I am convinced it made for a better trip home. Plus my mom went with us! Thanks mom.

Shots Fired!
In these first two photos, Jack is showing you where he got his shots.
I guess he is showing off his war wounds, or at least his Charlie Brown band-aids.
