Snow Day...Again

No one around here needs me to state that we got more snow last night. The first substantial snow we received was exciting and new. This one...not so much. Jack is over the snow, but I hated not to get him outside for a little while this morning. The difference between this snow and the last snow - we had a lot of ice. Our drive way was a big sheet of ice. We fell a couple of times and then decided to stick to walking in the yard.

After a few minutes of this, Jack was asking for his "coffee". We have never given him coffee. John drinks coffee in the morning, so maybe that's where he heard us talking about coffee. One day he asked for coffee over and over again, so I made him a slightly warm chocolate milk with cool whip on top. Now when he refers to his "coffee", that's what he's asking for. So after walking around in the snow, we came inside for a coffee and to warm up.

Here he is, later in the day, resting on our
over sized ottoman watching a Charlie Brown
video. What a life!

He is really into his music. And he loves to play his drums.
This music set was a gift from Uncle David, Aunt Betty,
McKenzie and Matt. Jack loves it!!

Tomorrow is John's 40th birthday and a few of Jack's friends are coming over in the morning to play. Saturday we are going to our sweet friend Maggie's 2nd birthday party. Then church on Sunday. So it looks like it's going to be a fun and busy weekend.
