The Saturday Post

I want to begin tonight's post by saying that I know our blog is looking a little drab these days. It's currently under construction, so please bare with us. As many of you already know, Jack is OBSESSED with all things "TOY STORY". I mean obsessed! We watch Toy Story 1,2 & 3 everyday!! We have worn out our first copy of Toy Story 3 and are on our second. We don't go anywhere without Woody. To the store, to get our haircut, outside to play, etc... Jack sleeps with Woody and goes into a panic if he can't find him. All of our Toy Story toys talk. Woody and Buzz Lightyear say about 25 different things each, T-Rex roars and Evil Dr. Pork Chop says two or three things. We have everything memorized and we know what each will say next. Even Jack has their sayings and the order in which they are said memorized. It should probably be getting on our nerves by now, but it really is sweet how much he loves these characters. We are always playing "Toy Story". Jack has a red cowboy hat like the one Andy wears in the first two movies and he puts it on and he likes for me to make up plays for him and the characters. He gets so tickled and says, "Do again!" I have been trying so hard to get a picture of Jack with his "Round-Up Gang", but he is a very busy two year old these days and getting him to sit still for a picture is not easy. But I guess the other day I was holding my mouth just right and I got a good picture.

"Woody's Round-Up Gang"
Buzz Lightyear, Evil Dr. Porkchop, Woody,
T-Rex and Jack

And of course we had to write Jack's
name on the bottom of their shoes.

Jack loves his bath time
and tonight I was able to snap a few pictures.
In this picture, he was trying to
blow the bubbles off of his hand.

Look at that adorable booty!!

After his bath, I got out his Aqua Doodle.
Austin and Sara Brooke gave this to
him for Christmas and he loves it!!
And it is really a life saver for me.
I pull it out two or three times a week,
when I'm trying to fix dinner. He is so excited
to see it and it keeps him entertained for a long time.
And there's no mess!! This is a great gift that I
highly recommend.

Such an artist!

Jack and John had a big time drawing tonight.

I fixed Spicy Corn Chowder for dinner tonight.
It is wonderful! And it's quick and easy.
I'll try to post the recipe tomorrow.
John had corn bread with his.
It's a little to spicy for Jack, so he
had bacon, eggs and bananas.
This is one of his favorite meals.

For dessert, I made S'mores.
Another yummy recipe I need to post.
And for those of you who are watching their
weight, don't worry! I copied it from a Weight Watcher's
magazine in my doctor's waiting room.
They are so good and messy!

Yummmm!
And notice the nice, short haircut!!
And of course I made plenty of soup, so there will be leftovers. Perfect for the winter weather they say is on the way. I hope the next pictures I post will be of Jack with our very own snowman!!
