Our little monkey has been very busy this week. After spending time in Jackson last week, visiting Poppa in the hospital, we have been hanging out at home being lazy and having fun. And this has been a good week for it, because the weather has been awful. What's better to do on a rainy day but build a fort and make a mess? It all started Monday morning while I was folding clothes in the den. Jack found his way over to my laundry basket. He worked all morning trying to get it turned over on its side. Once that was accomplished, he had to fill it up. He belly flopped all over the den that afternoon, dragging items back to his basket. When he went to bed that night, John and I went to investigate and here is what we found: my cell phone, my MP3 player, a phone book, bibs and burp rags, a new pack of socks, the headphones to my MP3 player and a lot of toys. Needless to say, everything but the kitchen sink. I removed my things, but left everything else. After breakfast this morning, he went right back to work on his fort - turning in into his home. He went right to my magazine rack, looking for some light reading. I decided, if I didn't want a paper mess all over my den, I better find him something I didn't mind him playing with. So, I pulled out several plastic measuring cups and he was thrilled. After lunch, I folded more clothes and he took over another basket. I guess he thought he needed to add on another room. He has been playing so hard and has been very busy. It has been so much fun watching his little mind work. He has not wanted to spend much time with me, so I have been able to get a little house work done. However, that's not our biggest news. It's official - Jack is crawling!! As of this afternoon, he is no longer belly flopping, he is CRAWLING!!! I have a short video and I will try to get it on here in the next few days. Late this afternoon, he was following me all over the house and he is very fast!! In the meantime, enjoy the following pictures of our little monkey at work!!
