I am currently in the process of getting things in order for Jack's first birthday!!! Yes, you read right - his DECEMBER birthday. I know this is August, but I am the type person that has to start getting her ducks in a row early. I really want this to be a wonderful birthday for our monkey. My birthday binder is organized and loaded with ideas and lists. A theme has been picked and invitations in mind. I don't want to spend a lot of money on decorations that will only be used for this party. I want to invest in things I can use again and ones that will always have special meaning to us.
I love to scrapbook and started many years ago. Although I haven't been able to really get started on Jack's scrapbook before now, I have been keeping his photos and keepsakes organized. I decided a scrapbook of his first year would be nice to have on display at his party. So, yesterday I got out my photos and supplies and got started. There is A LOT of stuff. Keep in mind, I take at least one picture of him everyday. I'm a little overwhelmed. I think if I am able to complete two or pages a night, I might make it.

You are VERY smart to do this now and keep up with it.Of course all the cute scrapbooking items weren't out there when Davis was a child, but I saved all the stuff and tackled it after high school graduation. You heard right,I took that long to start: you talk about a nightmare, but I wanted him to have a keepsake, and something he would hopefully treasure some day.I'm not so sure he does, but hopefully he hasn't thrown them away since they are at his house and not here!!I think I would cry!!
Betty Ann says you do wonderful scrapbooking,so I hope to see it someday~along with your adorable Jack.
love,
Betty aka Betty Ward
