Jack's Room

Here are the colors and fabrics we are using in Jack's room!

A couple of months ago, my mom was in Tupelo spending the weekend with my sister and they went on the hunt for fabric! I had asked them to put two or three possibilities together for me to see. John and I didn't want anything that looked to "infant". I wanted something we could use for a while. We didn't want a "theme" or a "fad". With all of that in mind, they picked out several great groupings for us to consider. This was their favorite, but they didn't tell me that until John and I chose our favorite. And you would know, this group was all of our favorite! Great minds think a like! At the time, the cow print was not included. That was John's idea - and a great idea at that! Nicole kept thinking the room needed one more "fun" print and when I told her about John's suggestion, she loved the idea. (John and his cows. What can I say, they're in his blood!)

My mom bought all of the fabric for us. She bought enough for us to make some things for his big boy room when we move him out of his baby bed. (Jack's Mimi is always thinking ahead.) And she is going to sew his window treatments, bed skirt and pillows. We are using espresso colored furniture, which is a really deep brown. His book shelf should be here in a couple of days.

I can't wait to see his room come together, I hope we are able to make it a cozy place he will enjoy hanging out in.
