Another Must Have Book Review!

The Elf on the Shelf ! Okay, this is another "must have" for all of you grandmothers, moms of little ones, aunts, etc... Betty turned me on to The Elf on the Shelf a few years ago and now he is one of our favorite parts of Christmas. The story is adorable and before long, your elf becomes like a part of your family. We really look forward to putting him out Thanksgiving Day and we hate putting him up when Christmas is over.

When you buy your elf on the shelf, you name him and register him on their web site. John named ours Scout (because he moves around the house scouting out who is naughty and who is nice.) You never know where you might find him in the morning. The story book really explains everything. He also has his own web site www.elfontheshelf.com.

We know this is going to be a fun Christmas tradition for Jack. If you have a little one, you have to get them an elf. You get your elf and the book together in a cute keepsake box. I know Karen, at Puddleducks, sales the set. And more and more stores, where children's items are sold, are starting to carry them. And as always, you can find them on line. Betty Ward and Melba - you have to get one for Jacob and Luke!
