Just a Quick Update

I had my weekly doctor's appointment yesterday and things went well. Dr. Breeland ran a couple of tests on me and I should get the results when I go back Tuesday. She hooked me up to the fetal heart monitor for the first 30 minutes and Jack really showed out! There were two other women in the room and one had her two year old son with her. He was so cute, but he made the situation a little stressful. He knew the words buttons and push. He kept wanting to push the buttons on our monitors. Then he discovered the cords in the back of our monitors and found those much more interesting. He spent a lot of time hanging on to the side of my chair talking to me. Whenever he would be talking to me, Jack's heart rate would jump from 145 to as high as 173! The highest I have ever seen it get before is 161. His activity level would go from 15 or 16 to 24 or 25 and he would start kicking like crazy. As soon as the little boy walked away, Jack would settle down. He boy would come back and it would start all over again. Dr. Breeland would have died six deaths if she had known that little boy was in there. And I forgot to mention, the little boy's mother wasn't even hooked up to a monitor. She was in there visiting her friend! That part of the appointment was a little stressful. They finally left after the little boy discovered how to open and shut the door and slammed his fingers in the door. I felt so so sorry for him, but wasn't sad to see him go! I'm not sure if Jack enjoyed hearing the little boys voice, or if he was getting on Jack's nerves.

We are very busy getting Jack's room ready. I'm going to posts a couple of sneak peek pictures later today or tomorrow, so be sure to check back!
