Book Review

I need to make a confession before I get started - I am "borrowing" the subject and much of the text for this post from my sister. She reviewed this book on her classroom blog - Our Kinder Korner. (The link to her blog can be found under "Our Favorite Blogs" in the right hand column.)

I have several friends, and followers of Jack's blog, whose children are becoming "library age". And even though this book is not on Jack's book shelf yet, it soon will be. I think the idea behind this book is so cute! And if Nicole likes it and recommends it to the parents in her class, then I know it's good.

Library Lion, written by Michelle Knudsen, is a story about a lion that goes to the library for story hour. While he is there, he learns the rules of the library, as well as, how much fun the library can be.

When I was growing up, my mom took me to the library a good bit. Most towns didn't have book stores like they do now and there was no Internet to order books from. I don't think kids today go to the library as much and many might not understand what the library is all about. So I'm glad Nicole came across this book to help teach children about the library and hopefully get them excited about going.

As I have stated before, I love to read and I hope Jack loves to read. I'm certainly going to give it my best shot! Nicole has a lot of fun and useful info on her classroom blog, so if you have time - check it out. Again, it's in the right hand column of our blog (under "Our Favorite Blogs") and the name is Our Kinder Korner. You can just click on the link.

We hope everyone has a great, safe week!
