Nesting

I haven't posted much this week. I guess I've been to busy nesting. John left town on Monday and will get home today. So, Jack, Avery and I have been on our own this week. It was so nice having the bed to myself, I could really stretch out, but we will be so glad when John gets home.

My mom came over Tuesday and we went to buy me a new vacuum cleaner! It is wonderful. I have vacuumed everyday! I don't think I could be any happier if John brought me a big diamond ring home from his trip. (I've always preferred household items anyway.) My mom and I took turns trying it out. I thought my mom was going to try to take it home with her. If you are ever in the market for a new vacuum, I highly recommend the Hoover Wind Tunnel.

We are really starting to pick up the pace, getting things ready for Jack's arrival. Only three months to go! I think certain people (mom & John) are getting a little nervous that things won't be ready. I try not to think about my readiness ( or lack there of) too much, or I know I will freak out. Then I won't be any good to anyone.

Jack has been kicking for a while now and he is a very active little boy. However, last night was the first time I've been able to feel his kicks on the outside. I was so excited and a little disappointed that John wasn't here. He has really been waiting to feel Jack kick. I called him as soon as it happened and he was very excited. I think it made him want to come home even more. But I promised him that there will be lots of little kicks for him when he gets home.

That's about all that has gone on this week. I have a routine doctor's appointment on Tuesday, so my mom and I will be heading to Jackson. I will have another sonogram in October and I can't wait to see how much he has grown since July. I will be sure to post the pictures!

We hope everyone has a great, safe weekend!
