Another First

And it's not a good one! Our first BOO-BOO. A fat bloody lip. While I was cooking lunch today, Jack fell and started SCREAMING. I ran to get him and when I picked him up, there was blood coming from his top lip. I cleaned him up and made him chew on a cold wet rag while we rocked. I don't believe his lip hit the floor, I think when he fell his sharp bottom teeth cut his upper lip. He is really into "FAKE FALLING" right now. He'll throw himself down and say "Oh, oh momma!" I think that might be the case with this fall. Bless his heart. It didn't keep him down for long. He was able to pull it together and eat a big lunch of sweet potatoes, butter beans and roasted chicken.

On a funny note - When he woke up from his three hour (Thank You Lord) afternoon nap, I could hear him saying something over and over. And each time, he got louder and louder. I stood outside of his door and he was saying, "I's up! I's up!". Then a couple of seconds later he shouted, "NOW MOMMA!". He is getting so good at putting together two and three word sentences.
