Rabbits, Baskets and Eggs

While Jack napped this afternoon, I finished decorating for Easter. I wanted to have it finished before John got home. He likes coming home and being surprised by our decorations. I got it all put together and the house picked up before my wild one woke up. When I showed him around, he kept calling the Easter eggs "balls".
This is our buffet in our dining area. As you can tell, I have a lot
of McCarty rabbits. (And this isn't all of them.)
I love mixing them with our Easter eggs.

This is the center piece on our table.
I have a bell jar that fits on this cake stand,
but not with the decorations. So I'm just
using the stand. My mom brought me the pot of
moss from her yard for me to transplant into mine,
but I thought I would use it in my decorations first.

A close up of the buffet.

The other end of the buffet.

This is our side board as you come in the carport door.
My Grandmother crocheted the chickens for me
many, many years ago. I look forward to using them
every year. I also displayed three pictures that
I love. The first is an Easter picture of Matt and
McKenzie taken a long time ago. I love it because they are acting silly!
I use it every year along with a picture of me and my sister on my
sister's first Easter. (That was a really long time ago!)
And a picture of Jack takenlast year (his first Easter) with
his Easter basket right before we took him
to the Easter egg hunt at our church. I'm also using this area to
display our Easter cards. (By the way, I dislike the lamps on my
side board. I like their size and I can live with their shape, but
I truly dislike the finish. I want to paint them. If any of you have
done this before, I would love to hear how you did it and what color
you think would look the best.)

The adorable egg in front of Jack's picture was a gift
from his Uncle John and Aunt Patricia in Texas.
They sent it to him last year for his first Easter.

That's all I'm going to put out this year. I normally put something on my coffee table in the den, but with Mr. Sticky Fingers always on the hunt, I decided against it this year.

Everything looks great! It always does. I love the way you and your Sis save things from your childhood, from Granny, and the new traditions you have made for yourselves, I wonder where you get that? I still drag out the fuzzy chickens I have had since I was a small child, now they are old!!! But I still love them. Love, MOM
